Wine Bottle Toppers
We have begun learning about Rosh Hashanah, and are making special crafts to adorn the yom tov table.  We got the idea for this project from www.challahcrumbs.com, a website where you can find great ideas, crafts, and fantastic kid-related activities.  We expanded on the apple wine topper idea by also making a pomegranate wine topper.

First take a toilet paper roll and cover it with red construction paper.  Then cut 5 strips of red construction paper approximately 8 inches long.  Tape either side of the red strips to the toilet paper roll making your 3 dimensional apple.  Trace a stem and leaf out of green construction paper, cut it and tape it to the top of the apple.  You can do the same steps for a pomegranate.  For the pomegranate, trace and cut out a crown to tape on top.  Now you have beautiful wine covers to adorn your Rosh Hashanah table!

Supplies:
  • red construction paper
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • tape
  • toilet paper roll
